The 5K At Hamilton

The 5K at Hamilton Township, returning on October 3rd, 2026, as part of the USATF Grand Prix Series, invites participants to explore Veterans Park. This race offers a blend of challenge and reward through its meticulously maintained trails and clear paths. Runners will begin their journey from Veterans Memorial Plaza before completing multiple loops around the picturesque park.
The course is designed for fast times with minimal elevation changes, ensuring smooth running surfaces despite potential softening during late autumn rains. UV exposure remains moderate, while temperatures range between 50 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (10-25 Celsius), providing comfortable conditions for competitors.
Suitable for both seasoned athletes and newcomers, the event features two options: a 5K run and a 1-mile walk. Students under 18 can participate at half price, making it accessible across all age groups. Participants must bring their own timing chip or use a compatible phone app if they wish to register as USATF members for this event. Bib pickup will occur on Saturday, October 1st from noon until 7pm at the Hamilton Township Recreation Center.
