The Bath Beast Sportive 2026

Bath, known for its challenging terrain and picturesque views, welcomes cyclists to the fourth edition of The Bath Beast 2026. This year’s lineup includes two road routes—45 miles and 75 miles—and an exciting addition: The Dirty Beast, a 55-mile course that ventures off-road through North East Somerset.
The main road routes start with a scenic journey through Bath city center before ascending to Claverton Down and continuing southward. Cyclists on the longer route will cycle through the historic Longleat estate, adding an extra layer of allure and challenge. Both courses are designed for riders who crave undulating hills around Bath, pushing them beyond their comfort zones.
Debuting this year is The Dirty Beast, a 55-mile adventure that combines tracks, towpaths, lanes, and stunning views across the countryside. This off-road route is tailored to gravel bikes, cyclo-cross machines, and mountain bikes, offering an alternative challenge for those seeking something different from traditional road cycling.
Starting and finishing at Walcot Rugby Football Club, each course features feed stations sponsored by HIGH5, providing essential sports nutrition along the way. Mechanical and medical support are also available throughout the event to ensure a safe experience for all participants.
Organized by Pulse Events, The Bath Beast aims to create an unforgettable sportive that tests cyclists both physically and mentally as they tackle steep ascents and long climbs. Early bird registration is now open at £25 (regular price: £35) with limited spots available. Participants are encouraged to raise funds for Julian House charity through a dedicated JustGiving page, contributing towards vital services supporting those experiencing homelessness.
