About the Event

The course takes runners through some of Lilyfield's most picturesque locations, starting from the heart of the suburb at Dobroyd Park and weaving its way along residential streets. The terrain is mostly flat with occasional gentle slopes that add variety without being too challenging. Distance markers are clearly visible every kilometer to keep you on track as you progress towards your goal.
The race includes several notable features such as the 2km Primary School Challenge, which encourages children aged between five and twelve to participate alongside their parents or guardians who register as accompanying adults. The course also caters to those seeking a faster pace with 'Fastest Dog in the Inner West' participants joining runners on the same route.

To secure your spot, visit https://raceroster.com/events/2026/115820/the-bayrun-26 and register before the early bird deadline of June 30th to take advantage of lower rates or sign up on race day at a slightly higher fee. Bib pickup will be held one week prior to the event, from August 1st to August 1st between 9am to 5pm at the Lilyfield Community Centre.
Be sure to bring your photo ID and any necessary documents for age verification during registration. First-time participants should arrive early to familiarize themselves with the course layout and warm up before the race starts promptly at 8:00 am for adult runners, followed by dog runs starting at 8:15 am, and finally the primary school challenge at 8:45 am.
