On Sunday, 9th August 2026, the BIG LIME TRIATHLONS are set to return to Hartlepool Marina with an exciting day of multisport racing. This popular event offers something for everyone, from beginners eager to dip their toes into triathlon waters to seasoned athletes looking to push their limits. The race begins in the heart of Hartlepool Marina with a swim that showcases its picturesque setting. For those tackling the Sprint Triathlon, they'll cover 750 meters before transitioning onto bikes and pedaling through Seaton Carew and Teesside on flat routes known for their speediness. The Standard Triathlon extends these distances to 1,500 meters in water and a longer cycle of 40 kilometers, offering more experienced competitors the chance to test themselves over greater terrain. Both triathlon options conclude with scenic runs along Hartlepool's seafront promenade, providing breathtaking views as runners finish their journey. Additionally, there are Aquabike events for those who prefer not to run but still enjoy swimming and cycling. These races follow similar distances to their full triathlon counterparts without the final leg. The event also features dedicated open water swims for participants who want a focused aquatic challenge. Whether you're looking to race or simply immerse yourself in the beauty of Hartlepool Marina, there's an option tailored just for you.
