Black Beacon Mountain Races invites trail runners and adventure seekers to traverse the breathtaking landscapes of Wales’ Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Parks. Offering four distinct race distances, this series caters to various skill levels with options ranging from an exhilarating 100-mile ultramarathon to a more accessible yet challenging 21-mile trail run.
The trails are known for their fast pace and straightforward navigation, making the journey both enjoyable and manageable for runners of all abilities. The routes wind through stunning scenery, showcasing panoramic views that highlight Wales’ natural beauty at every turn. Participants will encounter well-stocked checkpoints along the way: a total of 13 for the ultra marathoners tackling the full 100 miles, six for those covering the 50-mile distance, and three each for runners on both the 21-mile trail run and the shorter but equally scenic 50km 'Ultra Bach' race.
Race day is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers and professional staff who ensure that all participants are well taken care of throughout their journey.
