Step into the inaugural Blue Rose Run on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and join runners from across Texas for an inspiring morning at Bachman Lake. This special event honors female law enforcement officers by raising funds for the Lisa Sandel Police Women’s Foundation through a scenic run or walk. The race offers two options: a competitive 5K route that winds around picturesque Bachman Lake's flat, paved paths and shaded trails, ideal for all skill levels; or a leisurely one-mile stroll along similar routes. Participants can enjoy stunning water views while supporting an important cause. After crossing the finish line, stick around to celebrate at The Shield Social, where live music sets the tone for a festive atmosphere. A vibrant vendor village will be on hand offering unique items and services, complemented by complimentary recovery snacks provided in partnership with local health experts. Top performers from both races will receive special recognition during an awards ceremony honoring their achievements as well as community heroes. For those unable to make packet pickup at Luke's Locker earlier this month, race day registration opens early at 7:45 AM near the venue on Northwest Highway. Detailed course maps are available online for advance planning and familiarization with the route’s highlights. The Blue Rose Run promises not just a challenging run or walk but also an uplifting community event that celebrates resilience and camaraderie among women in law enforcement. About Dallas
Learn more about the host city, Dallas.
Dallas, with a population of more than 1.3 million residents, is the ninth largest city in the United States and the third largest in the state of Texas. It is an impressive melting pot of culture and character. Boasting high-end luxury hotels, innumerable fine dining spots, and one of the busiest airports in the world, Dallas maintains an upscale ethos reflected by an affluent population, world-class museums, and a shimmering modern skyline. Its history was marred by the infamous assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, but there is more historic and contemporary heritage to be discovered in the city.
