About the Event

THE CHALLENGE RACE GOAT 3 is a JAAF-certified full marathon for fast runners. Unlike the annual series, the qualifying standard here is a full marathon time within 3 hours 30 minutes, and the field is limited to the first 200 entrants, with 30 places per pacing group. Runners may switch groups after entering.
The course is a 10 km loop on the Arakawa riverbank in Tokyo, starting and finishing at the Toda Bridge athletics stadium, with an elevation difference of no more than 1.5 m. Twelve pacing groups run from 2:15 to 3:20, and the minimum running distance for pacing is 25 km. Each lap has three aid stations with water, sports drink and gel. Runners line up five minutes before the start and can warm up until then.
Registration runs 8:00 to 9:00, the opening ceremony is from 9:00 to 9:15 and the start is at 9:30. The entry fee is 16,500 yen, and the time limit is 3 hours 30 minutes. The race belongs to the R.LEAGUE ranking series and is a partner event of TEAM ONE TOKYO, a program offering a chance at a Tokyo Marathon entry. Result certificates are issued online about two hours after the finish. The venue is a 12-minute walk from Nishidai Station on the Toei Mita Line.
