THE CHALLENGE RACE SENDAI 1 is a JAAF-certified race at Natori City Cycle Sports Center in Miyagi, offering the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and 1 mile. Runners lap a 3.9 km course with one aid point per lap, stocked with Aminovital GOLD drink and Amino Shot Perfect Energy gel. Pacers cover 12 paces from 2:40 to 4:30 for the full marathon, and runners can warm up until five minutes before the start. The race is a designated event of the R.LEAGUE runner league, where entries, finishes and times earn points and tickets for rankings. Registered runners get 10% off from their second entry. Registration is 8:00 to 9:00, with the opening ceremony at 9:10. The full, half, 10K and 5K start at 9:30 and the 1 mile at 9:35. Fees are 11,000 yen for the full, 7,700 yen for the half, 5,500 yen for the 10K and 3,300 yen for both the 5K and the 1 mile. Time limits are 40 minutes for 5K, 90 minutes for 10K, 2 hours 15 minutes for the half and 4 hours 30 minutes for the full.
