WELCOME TO THE CHURCH OF ST. ANDREW The Church of St. Andrew in Richmondtown was founded in 1708.It is one of the oldest active Episcopal churches in the United States and indeed the oldest church on Staten Island. Within St. Andrew’s 317-year history, there has never been a recorded foot race staged on these hallowed grounds until the creation of this event. On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew will hold its 5th annual 3.1-mile run and 1.1-mile walk. By participating, you will be contributing to the various charitable initiatives led by our church, and your involvement will help us continue making a positive impact in the Staten Island community. We are very excited this year to announce that we are the first leg of the inaugural Staten Island FALL TRIFECTA. By completing this race and the 2nd and 3rd leg events, you qualify to be recognized at our Trifecta celebration. When you click to register (see above "Series Registration") to sign up for all three events at a discounted rate. The start/finish area is next to the Church itself and runs over a well-known footpath, traversing the landscape of the greenbelt. Join us on Saturday, September 26th, to connect with fellow participants, meet new friends, and engage in the welcoming, inclusive atmosphere of the Church of St. Andrew... and become part of our history. About Staten Island
Learn more about the host city, Staten Island.
Staten Island is New York City's "Forgotten Borough" across New York Harbor from Manhattan. Staten Island may seem like it's in an entirely different world than the hustle and bustle expected in New York City. However, it still has some of the features you've come to expect from the city. This combination of city influences and its rural origins have created a unique borough that is a great place to visit.
