The Circuit – Last Across the Line is Out transforms a traditional running competition into an exhilarating racing experience, drawing inspiration from Formula 1. This unique format has never before been seen on Austrian race tracks and promises to deliver an adrenaline-pumping adventure for all participants.
Each runner starts with a dramatic countdown reminiscent of Formula 1 races, setting the tone for high-stakes competition right from the beginning. The event begins with qualifying rounds where each participant completes three laps of 156 meters, aiming to achieve their fastest possible lap time. This qualification determines how runners are divided into heats.
The main race unfolds through twelve heats, featuring six competitors per heat who must complete up to six laps of 156 meters each. Starting from the third round onwards, a critical rule comes into play: the last runner to cross the finish line at the end of any lap is eliminated immediately. This means that with every subsequent lap, fewer runners remain in contention until only three competitors are left standing.
These top-three finishers proceed under the checkered flag and advance directly to the quarter-finals. From there, the competition intensifies as runners battle through knockout rounds leading up to the grand finale. The final showdown sees six elite racers competing for supremacy on the track, with the ultimate prize of being crowned Circuit Champion at stake.
