The Darklink 10k Headtorch Run

Experience an evening adventure along the scenic Downslink from Shoreham to Bramber on December 29, 2026. This unique Headtorch 10k race invites runners to navigate through darkness with only their headtorches providing illumination.
The event kicks off at 18:00 sharp from the Toll Bridge in Shoreham and heads north along a flat route that follows the Downslink pathway over the South Downs Way Bridge towards Bramber. Participants will enjoy an unobstructed course, making it ideal for runners of all skill levels who are looking to challenge themselves under the cover of night.
A key highlight is the aid station positioned at the halfway mark, ensuring participants have easy access to refreshments and support as they continue their journey back toward Shoreham. The route’s flat terrain minimizes elevation changes, allowing runners to focus on pacing and enjoying the atmospheric setting illuminated only by headtorches and ambient lighting from fellow competitors.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a Darklink Medal to commemorate this memorable event. Remember that headtorches are mandatory for safety reasons, as well as to enhance your experience running through the night along this historic path.
Join us on December 29th for an unforgettable evening of adventure and camaraderie under the stars.
