The Descent 1

With no loops or gimmicks, this race is all about simplicity and speed. Gravity does most of the work as runners navigate through stunning countryside on well-marked roads that are chip-timed for accurate results.
Event day begins with registration at 18:00 in West Vale before participants board the bus to Scammonden at 19:00 prompt. The race starts upon arrival, and presentations will take place around 20:30 once all runners have completed their journey.
All finishers receive a medal as part of their entry fee, though t-shirts must be pre-ordered separately if desired. With only 100 spots available for this popular event, early registration is recommended to secure your spot on the descent from hillside to town.
