The Dirty Feet Trail Run #4

Kenna Cartwright Park is nestled within the heart of Kamloops, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildlife. On race morning, expect crisp autumn air with temperatures ranging from 12.9°C to 26.2°C, making for a comfortable running environment. The atmosphere will be filled with excitement as runners gear up at their respective start points.
This is the fourth installment of the Dirty Feet Trail Races series, which has been entertaining locals and visitors alike since its inception in 2018. Over the years, it has grown to attract over 350 participants who come together for a fun day filled with competition, camaraderie, and community spirit.
The course venue is Kenna Cartwright Park's extensive trail network, providing a mix of varied terrain that challenges both newcomers and seasoned runners alike. The race will start at the park’s main entrance on Burnside Road North West, near the Kamloops Visitor Centre. Runners can expect a well-marked 21km route with its scenic views and technical sections to keep them engaged throughout.
The 10km course, which starts just down the road from the longer distance run, will weave through the park’s dense forests before reaching its finish line at the same location as the other distances. Participants can also enjoy a 5km option that loops around Kenna Cartwright Park, perfect for those looking to test their speed in a shorter distance.
The course features notable route elements such as steep ascents and descents, ensuring an engaging experience. There will be no aid stations along the way; however, water points are strategically placed at key intersections within the park.
Weather conditions on race day should feel comfortable with temperatures around 19.6°C, a steady wind of about 4.2 km/h, and humidity levels hovering around 60%. Precipitation is not expected, making for ideal running weather.
The Dirty Feet Trail Run #4 offers three distances: the 5k (5km), the 10k (10km), and the 21K (21km). Registration fees are $43.70 for the 5k, $54.36 for the 10k, and $70.36 for the 21K.

The event will commence at 9:30am with the start of the 21K run followed closely by the 10k runners at 10:00am and then the 5k participants at 10:15am. Bibs can be picked up on Saturday, September 26th from 4pm to 7pm at the Kamloops Running Club located at 3900 Kinnaird Street.
The race will conclude in Kenna Cartwright Park with plenty of post-race treats including snacks and refreshments provided by our sponsors.
