You are hereby invited to the most stylish and purpose-driven race in town: The Divorce Day Marathon on Saturday, June 6, 2026. This highly original event, now in its 6th year, starts from The Unicorn Inn and challenges you to choose your distance—8 Miles, a Half Marathon, or a full Marathon—on a scenic looped course through the Silkin Way, Rough Park, and the historic Valley of Ironbridge, including a crossing of the iconic Ironbridge itself. Fancy dress isn't just encouraged; it's practically mandatory, with top hats, tiaras, and creative costumes transforming the event into a vibrant, joyful celebration of new beginnings.
The heart of the event is its vital cause: every entry directly supports a Defibrillator Fundraiser, ensuring life-saving equipment is available in the local community. With a 9:00 AM start for all distances, you'll enjoy a varied mixture of paths and tracks on a course that combines light-hearted fun with a serious commitment to community health. It's the perfect opportunity to run with purpose, dress with flair, and be part of a unique running tradition that proves fitness, charity, and fantastic costumes are a brilliant combination. Save the date for a marathon, half marathon, or 8-mile adventure where every step you take is a step toward saving a life.
