The Drop is an exhilarating navigation challenge that strips away all familiar elements of racing. In this unique event, uncertainty reigns supreme as you're dropped into unfamiliar terrain with no guidance or markers to follow. Participants are taken by bus to a secret location and must navigate their way back to the central hub on their own terms. Whether it's 10 miles or the more demanding 15-mile course, your only objective is simple: find your path home without any aids like maps, GPS devices, or navigational tools. The event offers three distinct challenges: - The Drop (10 & 15 Miles): This core challenge drops you at an undisclosed location and requires you to use every ounce of ingenuity and endurance to return. The longer distance in the 15-mile option adds layers of complexity, pushing your decision-making skills and physical limits further. - The Drop 6 (Non-Locals Only): Designed for those unfamiliar with the area, this shorter but equally challenging course is strictly reserved for non-residents or newcomers to ensure a level playing field. Participants are dropped just six miles from the finish line without any local advantages. Registration involves handing over all electronic devices and navigational aids in exchange for your race number and an emergency bag that must remain sealed throughout the event. Upon arrival at the drop-off point, you'll board a bus wearing blackout blindfolds or approved alternatives. Once off the bus, your time starts as soon as the blindfold comes off. The actual distance you travel will be longer than the stated miles due to navigating unpredictable terrain and making crucial decisions along the way. The rules are strict: no GPS devices unless sealed inside the emergency bag, no unauthorized maps, only walking is allowed, and breaking the seal on your emergency bag means disqualification. This ensures that every participant faces a fair and challenging experience. Live GPS tracking is available for an additional fee, allowing friends and family to follow your progress in real-time through our secure system. The accuracy of this tracker can vary slightly due to environmental factors but provides peace of mind by giving you the option to share your journey with loved ones. The Drop isn't just about reaching a finish line; it's about embracing uncertainty and pushing past mental barriers while testing physical limits. Are you ready for an experience that challenges everything you know about racing?
