The Firefly Trail Run

The Firefly Trail Run is a timed endurance event held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of Hendersonville, North Carolina. The race takes place on the private grounds of Wag Valley Farm, featuring a ~3-mile singletrack loop that includes waterfalls, mountain creeks, and a unique passage through a vintage event barn. Each lap involves approximately 400 feet of elevation gain, providing a technical but rewarding challenge for participants. Because of the timed format, runners can choose to tackle the 5K (one loop), or push their limits for a continuous 6 or 12 hours, with constant access to a central aid station and the event community.

Registration remains open until the night before the race, though shirt size guarantees end on April 1st. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in five age categories, ranging from under 29 to over 60. The event fosters a strong community spirit, culminating in a post-race fellowship with food and drinks starting at 8:30 PM on Saturday night.
