About the Event

Cross-country style trail run or walk on grass, dirt and mulch trails of the Prairie Pines Nature Preserve. For runners and walkers of all ages, with or without a dog.Saturday, August 8, 2026, 9 AMPrairie Pines Nature Preserve, 3100 N. 112th Street, Lincoln NE · 9 AM 1- Mile, Adult (over age 12) & Youth 1-Mile (age 12 & under), are run together, followed by 4-mile at approximately 9:30 AMRunners and dogs run/walk together – runners’ line up first followed by joggers/walkers and all with dogs.*Dogs must always be on an 6’ or shorter standard leash; no retractable or bungee-type leash (must show leash at packet pickup). Dog scat pickup required. IF you know your dog is aggressive towards other dogs or not comfortable with unknown people, this is probably not the right event for your pup. Owners with aggressive dogs will be asked to leave*Timer, no bibs or chips.BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE. There will be one water fill-up spot on 4-mile course.
