Support a local school and enjoy a morning of family-friendly competition at The Germazing Race 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This 14th annual community event, starting at 9:00 AM from St. Germaine School in Oak Lawn, Illinois, features a classic out-and-back 5K course for runners and walkers, with all proceeds benefiting the school. After the main race, children in Pre-K through 2nd grade can take on a special Kids Obstacle Course starting at 10:30 AM, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.
All participants who register by the March 30th deadline are guaranteed their choice of a commemorative long or short sleeve cotton t-shirt. Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in numerous age and grade categories. Mark your calendar for this fun, well-organized hometown race that combines fitness, community spirit, and support for local education.
