The core running season may be over but it’s not time to take it easy just yet. It's named The Guv'nor Frozen 50 for a reason. You not only have to take on Old Man Winter but "The Guv'nor" has quite a battle awaiting those who dare challenge her authority. With an average elevation profile of 136ft of accent per mile (across all distances), this relentless grind and unpredictable weather will challenge the mind, body and spirt. Support

Aid Stations There are 4 aid station locations (Cox hollow, Ranger Station, Horse Camp and Twin Valley). All aid stations will be stocked with traditional fare in addition to each one providing some unique offerings. Drop Bags 50K only. There will be a drop bag tent at the Twin Valley aid station (Race HQ, mile 15.8). Crew and Pacers Pacers and crew are only allowed for the 50K. Crew can be at the Twin Valley aid station (Race HQ , Mile 15.8). You can pickup a pacer for the last leg from Horse Camp to the finish. Medical EMS will be stationed at Race HQ.

50K Course Length: 31.4 Miles 2 Loops Elevation Gain: ~4475ft Terrain: Mix of horse trail, dirt single & double track and prairie path # of Aid Stations: 7 (Mile 4.3, 8.3, 12.2, 15.8, 20, 24, 27.9) Course Cut Off: 9 hours Course Map : HERE ​ 25K Course Length: 15.8 Miles 1 Loop Elevation Gain: ~2200ft Terrain: Mix of horse trail, dirt single & double track and prairie path # of Aid stations: 3 (Mile 4.3, 8.3, 12.2) Course Cut Off: 5 Hours Course Map: HERE 15K Course Length: 9.1 Miles 1 Loop Elevation Gain: ~1250ft Terrain: Mix of horse trail, single track and prairie path # of Aid stations: 1 (mile 5.7) Course Map: HERE Route Markings: The 50K & 25K routes will be marked with orange snow stakes, orange pin flags, orange arrow signs and orange marking tape. the 15K route will be marked with green snow stakes, green pin flags, green arrow signs and green marking tape. All turns and trail crossings will be marked as well as pink "wrong way" signs on trails not to go down. There will be distance specific directional signs wherever there are splits in the course. Please read these carefully to ensure you stay on course. Snow Plan

Because the planned route utilizes an active snowmobile trail with limited access points, winter conditions significantly reduce our ability to reach participants in certain sections of the course. Snow cover further restricts emergency access, vehicle mobility, and volunteer support. With participant safety as our top priority, any impactful snow accumulation on the ground will trigger a course pivot to a more accessible and support-friendly route. Alternate Course In the event of snow, the race will shift to an approximately 8-mile loop with reliable access for emergency response, aid, and runner support. - 50K = 4 loops - 25K = 2 loops - 15K = 1 loop Aid & Support - Cox Hollow Aid Station: Located mid-loop with full support - Twin Valley Aid Station (Start/Finish/Split): Full support, timing, and drop-bag access. This contingency ensures we maintain a safe, well-supported race experience while still delivering a scenic and challenging trail event, even in winter conditions.

Awards

Top 3 Male & Females in each distance and the top overall Non-Binary finisher in each distance will receive an award. Age group positions will be listed on the results but there will be no age group awards. We like to do things a little differently and opt to keep entry fees reasonable and invest in the experiences throughout the event that everyone can enjoy.

Giveaway

All participants will receive a race specific swag item, finisher medal, and post race food.

Refund, Distance Switch, Bib Transfer

Refund Policy: Refund/Deferral We will offer a 75% credit for all cancelled registrations 60+ days prior to race day. Once registered for a race within the 60 days, all registrations are final. We are unable to offer refunds, deferments, or rollovers to another year or event once you have signed up. As fellow runners, we understand that life happens, schedules change, and injuries/illnesses occur. However, race entries cover various operational expenses prior to race day, which is why we cannot offer deferrals or refunds. Please consider this carefully before registering. Transfer Policy: •If you would like to transfer your registration to another individual, we can facilitate this process. However, arranging payment is the responsibility of the individuals involved. • HERE is more information on how to transfer your registration to another person. Distance Change Policy: •If you wish to "drop" to a shorter distance within your registered event, we can accommodate this change, but no refund will be provided for the difference in entry fee. •If you wish to move "up" to a longer distance within your registered event, you may do so by paying the difference in price. • HERE is more information on how to change the distance of your registration. Weather/Event Cancellation Policy

Driftless Endurance events occur rain, shine, snow, cold or heat. It is only on rare occasions that weather conditions force a cancellation of our events. However, when severe weather conditions cause significant damage or alterations to the course, if trails become impassable or inaccessible for emergency personnel, or if there is an undue safety risk to participants, staff, and volunteers, we reserve the right to cancel the event, shorten the event, and/or hold runners until the weather improves. We will utilize the National Weather Service, land managers, and emergency personnel to provide guidance on the situation. There will be no refunds given if an event is canceled due to the weather. All decisions are final. Conditions that may result in an event being canceled or delayed include but are not limited to: extreme heat or cold, thunder & lightning, heavy snowfall, ice and freezing rain, tornadoes, flooding, fog, extreme wind, etc.
