The Loop! 2026

The Loop! invites trail runners and hikers to explore the stunning South Devon coastline on a challenging yet rewarding 20-mile route. The adventure begins at Broadsands Beach in Torbay, where participants will embark on an inland journey through picturesque trails before transitioning onto the rugged beauty of the South West Coast Path.
As you traverse the landscape, expect breathtaking views over the River Dart and along the coast, with each mile offering a new perspective on the region's natural splendor. The route features approximately 4000 feet of ascent, winding its way through both coastal cliffs and inland trails, providing runners and hikers alike with an immersive experience that combines physical challenge with scenic beauty.
Aid stations are strategically placed along the course to ensure participants remain fueled throughout their journey. These stops offer a variety of refreshments including water, sports drinks, snacks like flapjacks, crisps, nuts, pretzels, party rings, and malt loaf. However, The Loop! is committed to sustainability by operating as a cupless event; runners must bring and carry their own reusable bottles or containers for refills at the aid stations.
The race has an 9-hour cut-off time, allowing ample opportunity to take in the surroundings while maintaining a steady pace across varied terrain. Upon crossing the finish line back at Broadsands Beach, participants will receive a bespoke medal commemorating their achievement and enjoy sweet treats as a reward for completing this unique challenge.
Registration fees are £35 for affiliated runners and £37 for unaffiliated runners or hikers, with all participants required to be 18 years of age or older.
