The New Haven Grand Prix returns with enhanced excitement, offering a thrilling experience for cyclists across various categories. This race not only provides an intense competition but also supports local youth through fundraising efforts. USA Cycling Race licenses are mandatory; annual licenses can be obtained online at usacycling.org. Junior racers looking to participate on the day of the event should purchase one-day licenses onsite for $15, which is valid solely for that day’s race. These licenses ensure fair competition within designated categories and adhere strictly to USA Cycling rules. The race also serves as the Junior New England Criterium Championships for USA Cycling. To be eligible for championship medals, riders must hold a current USAC annual license and reside in one of the following states: Connecticut (CT), Rhode Island (RI), Massachusetts (MA), Maine (ME), or Vermont (VT). Participants from outside these regions can still compete but are ineligible to win the New England Championship. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category: - Junior 11-12 - Junior 13-14 - Junior 15-16 - Junior 17-18 To get involved and help out, sign up as a volunteer with the CCAP crew.
