The Ponderosa Gravel Race

About the Event

The Ponderosa Gravel Race returns to Elk City Hall on Halloween, offering an exhilarating challenge through the scenic Washington County gravel roads. Parking is conveniently available both at the hall and along the route, ensuring ease of access for all participants.
Race registration opens early with check-in starting promptly at 7:00 am inside the hall. Upon arrival, you'll receive your race plate and a meal ticket to fuel up before setting out on your journey. The 100-mile endurance challenge will begin at 8:00 am, followed by the 50-mile route at 8:30 am.
While navigating north through Washington County, be prepared for an independent race experience with only one shared aid station available along the way. An emergency contact number is provided on your race plate to ensure safety and support if needed.
As you venture out onto course, remember that the first highway crossing will be closely monitored by Douglas County deputies—so stay cautious and respectful of all rules and regulations. Upon completing your run, treat yourself to some well-deserved refreshments at the finish line area where fellow racers await your arrival.
Timing for this race is manual, so please exercise patience as results are compiled. Winners in each category will be celebrated with a podium ceremony shortly after all top three places have been determined, marking the perfect end to an unforgettable day of racing and camaraderie among GRVL'ers.
