THE ROC Wales

The ROC Triathlon Wales challenges endurance athletes to conquer some of Britain’s most breathtaking landscapes. This unique race series invites triathletes to push their limits as they embark on an extraordinary adventure across land and sea, culminating with the ascent of Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak.
Starting at Abersoch beach, competitors begin with a refreshing 1.5km swim in the crystal-clear waters of Cardigan Bay. After exiting the water, participants transition to a high-speed cycling course that spans an exhilarating 50 kilometers through the rolling hills and scenic countryside leading up to Snowdonia National Park.
The heart of THE ROC Wales lies in its mountainous challenge: runners must tackle a grueling climb up Snowdon via The Watkin Path. This challenging route includes a steep ascent over 6 kilometers, ascending an impressive 3,330 feet to the summit where panoramic views await. After reaching the peak and taking in the stunning vistas, athletes descend back down along the same path before transitioning into their final leg.
The race concludes with another cycle of 50 kilometers that takes participants through varied terrain as they make their way back towards Abersoch beach. Finally, racers are greeted by a triumphant 1km run along the golden sands where it all began, culminating in an unforgettable finish line celebration.
