A no DNF race😊 at Silver Comet Trail. The Trail has sunsets and sunrises. The route is asphalt and grass.125 ft of elevation & 2 indoor bathroom and you have wooded private spaces for business BUT no tissues on the trail!!. Bathroom is 24 hrs and the one past mile 5 til 7pm. Publix closes at 10pm, Chipotle, cupcake shop, 24 hr gas station has indoor bathroom Burger King Jersey Mike subs plenty of restaurants. Support these business by buying a cup of coffee for indoor bathroom privileges but it IS NOT MANDATORY they’re helping us out. The race has NO TURNS, run A STRAIGHT 10 miles OUT (one street crossing) then RUN or WALK 10 miles back. There is a timing mat and volunteers to help assure you’re running the full distance plus you’ll get signed in each loop and YOU can USE your gps WATCH to show your distance BUT the mileage must show how long each mile was. NO 4 minute mile lol!! Again flat asphalt and sidewalks which is surrounded by grass. The trails are beautiful:The trail will be open to the public but there is always someone at the aid stations.The race has a small town feel to it as I am around the course all day until the last runner is finished. The start of the race is close to the airport, it’s 20 minutes and the hotels are everywhere even as close as 6 minutes to the start. You can park overnight in the parking lot and or at the 24 hr gas station or shop parking lots. There are no electric outlets for campers or RV.This race is perfect for a 1st time Ultrarunner whom may not be used to staying up all day and night as my bike and volunteers will always be around to assist.Your MAIN assistance is at the START line is a fully stocked (aid station) will be supplied with cups, sports drink as well as various snacks hot foods anytime of the day, there is noodles, Mac n cheese, vegetables & potatoes, peanut butter and jelly and basically anything else that I can think of. I would encourage you to bring your go to items especially for the overnight runners. If you have a restricted diet bring your items for the race. I love you guys but please come prepared.The RD is on hand the entire time checking in on you. The RD has the final say on DQ. Please DO NOT CUT THE COURSE!! If you do not cross the timing mat your lap isn't counted. There are many walkers/runners throughout the day but the night you must have a headlamp or some form of reflective gear for your safety. The only wildlife is deers and possibly a grass snake but again some of the route is trail so remember we’re in their space not the other way around. Please please please DO NOT LITTER!! If you’re caught littering you’ll be forever banned because I had to almost cancel/move my race from one site of 5 years due to littering by runners. So please just keep it with you until you get to our trash cans. I will be all over the course checking on you to see if you need anything. Saturdays are busy in Atlanta especially when it's hot and it's usually 80-95 degrees during July so sunscreen 😉 and HYDRATION is extremely important. There are no sharp turns or non marked trails so no chance of getting lost. YOU RUN a straight line cross over a few bridges and just have fun; the only job will be run as much as you want. Remember don't stress about not making cut offs because we can always drop/change you to the timed events if you miss a cut offs. This is a challenge but definitely NO STRESS and the RD and volunteers are definitely here to help you. Pacers can sign up for the 6/12 hr depending on how long they’re running with you. For example if my pacer or pacers are/ is running 6 hours, then please SUPPORT the race and pay for 6 hours and yes you get credit for whatever miles you run during that time. If you have several pacers running 12 hours or more please sign up for 12 hours atleast. I want to see you finish ❤️. ALL proceeds go to helping the homeless. Please donate by bringing socks, underwear toothpaste toothbrushes please and thank you.

Race Details

This flat easy runnable trail race truly is great for a first time Ultra runner and or for someone looking for a flat course with a full 40 hour time limit and very small incline you can get a fast time. You will get to run your desired distance, no check point cut off, truly there is no chance of DNF!! You can drop down distance even during the race and you can go up in distance too. Just pay the difference please.

Volunteers

All volunteers receive some race swag as well as free entry to next year’s event. You must volunteer 8 hrs any shift for free entry. Thank you for helping ☺️!!

Race Weekend Schedule

July 4th 3:30 am packet pick up begins for all distances. All distances can get early start option of 2 extra hours so you would start at 4:00 am!!START TIMES 6:00AM100M 40!! 50 MILE LIMIT 40!! There are no check point cut offs. You have the entire time on the clock to run your race. If you decide to drop please try to get back to the start finish or an aid station, otherwise it’s near impossible to determine where you are on the trail as certain spots lose reception. We're here to help and encourage you to get to your goal

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS but you can transfer to another distance but no refunds and unfortunately cannot save your race fees for the following year😪 We strictly enforce sanitation guidelines , hand sanitizer and sanitizer wipes will be available for all of any specific needs please contact me well before the race.NO REFUNDS!

Transfer of Distance

You can upgrade to a longer distance, just PAY the difference in pricing also you have until race day to truly decide what distance you want to transfer to. You can also downgrade to a lower distance but no refunds on the distance. There is NO REFUNDS especially since this is a fund raiser for the homeless. Outside of the supplies every dollar goes to my non- profit and it's tax deductible. You can transfer your race to someone else.
