The Village of Norridge 5K Reindeer Run and Kids Dash

About the Event

The Village of Norridge would love for you to join us for our 1st annual 5K Reindeer Run and Kids Dash!

* The 5K will be chip-timed.

* The Kids Dash will be a 1/4 mile untimed fun run, for ages 10 and under!

The races begin and end in the parking lot of the old church, now Village of Norridge property, at the corner of N Ozanam Ave and W Montrose Ave. (Address: 7740 W Montrose Ave, Norridge, IL US 60706)

Registration Dates

You can register anytime, even on race day, and will receive reindeer antlers and jingle bells for your racing shoes!

A t-shirt or hat is only guaranteed with registration up until Friday November 13. After that, t-shirts will be given out only while supplies last.

Race Day Schedule

Check-In begins at 8:30 am

Kids Dash begins at 9:30 am

5K Reindeer Run begins at 10 am

Swag

T-Shirt/hat are guaranteed for registrations received prior to November 13, 2026. For registrations received after November 21, t-shirts/hat are not guaranteed and will be while supplies last.
All participants will receive reindeer antler headbands and jingle bells for your racing shoes. Wear them during the race for an extra jolly time!
Age group awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Male and Female finishers in the following categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Additionally, ALL Kids Dash participants will receive a finisher's medal!

Parking

The races begin and end in the parking lot of the old church, now Village of Norridge property, at the corner of N Ozanam Ave and W Montrose Ave. Parking is available:

In the rear parking lot behind the old church, accessible from W Sunnyside Ave
Street parking along both W Montrose Ave and N Ozanam Ave

Packet Pick-Up

Packets will be available for pick-up either:

The day before the race, Friday, December 5, 2025:
- Location: The lobby in Norridge Village Hall, 4000 N Olcott Ave, Norridge, IL 60706
- Time: 10 am to 5 pm
- Parking: Available either in the parking lot attached to the back of Village Hall, accessible from N Oleander Ave, or anywhere on the streets
OR the day of the race, starting at 8:30 am, at the race location

We will send you an email the Monday before the race (Monday, November 30, 2026) with a QR code to bring with you to packet pick-up. This can help expedite check-in, though it is NOT required for check-in!

We will not be able to mail packets; they must be picked up in person either the day before or the day of the race.

About Norridge

Learn more about the host city, Norridge.

Norridge is a village in Norwood Park Township, Cook County, Illinois, United States. The village and its neighbor to the east, Harwood Heights, together form an enclave within the city of Chicago. Norridge is sometimes referred to as the "Island Within a City". The area that would eventually become Norridge was settled by farmers in 1830. The first names of what would become Norridge were "Goat Village", due to a local resident's goat farm, and "Swamp" due to a lack of streets and the area's swamp-like conditions. Norridge's early borders were Ozanam Ave, Olcott Avenue, Irving Park Road, and Montrose Avenue. In 1948, a local improvement association incorporated Norridge as a village, stymieing an effort by Chicago to annex the area.
