Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of Arizona's Red Rocks on April 17, 2027, at the VUE~Vortex Ultra Experience. This unforgettable ultra-distance race offers runners five distinct routes to choose from: a grueling 50-mile trek, a challenging 34 miles, two marathon and half-marathon options (21M and 12M), and a scenic 4-mile course for those looking to experience the trail without committing too far. Each route weaves through some of Sedona's most breathtaking trails, offering runners panoramic views and diverse terrain. Race participants can access detailed maps and elevation profiles on the event website alongside turn-by-turn directions and aid station locations. While race courses are subject to change due to National Forest Service closures or restrictions, every effort is made to ensure that all routes remain true to their intended paths. Ultra distance finishers will be rewarded with a custom medal and buckle, while all registered runners receive an awesome tech shirt. Post-race festivities kick off at the Vendor Village from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM where you can relax on a camping chair and share stories of your journey over refreshments. Vendors offer samples, interactive activities, and opportunities to meet with partners supporting this event. Friends and family are encouraged to join in the celebration. For those looking for more adventure after crossing the finish line, spend an evening at Red Wall Lounge around its cozy fire pit or dine at Gerardo's Pizzeria & Cucina, a local favorite that will host a weekend fundraiser benefiting the Warrior Trail Foundation. If you're planning on arriving early to acclimate yourself with Sedona’s terrain, join us for a community run hosted by Trail Running Escapes and 444 Run Company on Thursday, April 15th at 5:00 PM near Thunder Mountain Trailhead. This event offers the chance to explore iconic Westside neighborhoods and enjoy some post-run conversation. Bib pickup will be held from Friday, April 16th from 12 Noon-4:30 PM at Cultural Park Place (77 Cultural Park Place). Make sure to capture your moment with Let's Wander Production photographers who will be on-site for FOMO-worthy photos. At 5 PM that evening, Trail Running Escapes and 444 Run Company invite you back to the race start location for a shake-out run followed by an opening ceremony featuring Sedona local Jennifer Marcacinni leading a moment of intention and breathwork session. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to experience one of Arizona's most scenic races. It’s time to #enjoytheVUE!
