Welcome to Three Sisters Skyline. Stunning courses with amazing views of the Three Sisters and other high Cascade peaks of Oregon. The 50K takes you to the edge of the Three Sisters Wilderness, running amongst Ponderosa Pines, remnants of a forest fire that occurred in 2012 where regrowth is occurring, alpine meadows and a picturesque mountain stream. Both races will finish right in the heart of Central Oregon's idyllic mountain town - Sisters.
Views. Views. Views. This race has incredible views from all areas of the course. The first 9.7 miles is a slow steady climb of ~2300ft to AS1 - just outside of the Three Sisters Wilderness - with views of the Three Sisters right in front of you. You then return - with a descent to AS2 that continues on to the finish! There is 3700ft of climbing with 4700ft of descent. 95% of the course is on single track trails. There are 3 fully stocked aid stations.
If you are looking for a fast trail half marathon, this is the race for you! This point to point race has a net downhill of 1500ft with only 500ft of gain. This race is run on 85% single track trails with one aid station at mile 7.1. You will love the views!
There are no transfers to other runners. No exceptions. Runners who must cancel their registration more than 30 days prior to the race can opt for a 50% credit toward the same event the following year. If your cancellation is 30 days or less from your race day, there is no credit, no refund, no transfer. No exceptions. In the event Alpine Running is forced to cancel a race for any reason and the event can not be feasibly rescheduled, refunds/race credits/rollovers will not be given. This includes, but not limited to, COVID-19, wildfires, air quality, natural disasters, permitting agency closures, etc. Rest assured, your registration fee will be supporting the great work of Sisters Trail Alliance.
