Timberhonger 10K 2026

Mark your calendars for the Timberhonger 10K, returning to Sanders Park on Sunday, August 30th, 2026. This will be the race's 21st edition and is named after its primary route along picturesque Timberhonger Lane.
The event has become renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and scenic course, featuring challenging hills that have earned their notorious reputation among runners over the years. The race begins at the Bromsgrove end of Whitford Road and follows a measured 10K distance through Timberhonger Lane before looping Berry Lane and Newhouse Lane twice. Participants will face several inclines along this route but also enjoy beautiful stretches alongside lush greenery.
Registration opens on-site from 8:00 AM, where runners can pick up their bib numbers which must be worn visibly at the front throughout the race. A brief run briefing is scheduled for 9:15 AM ahead of a prompt start time at 9:30 AM. The course will close to traffic entirely during this period.
Car parking is free and plentiful, with designated spots available in Sanders Park itself or an expansive field off Whitford Road nearby. Participants are advised not to bring dogs along the route for safety reasons but can leave their bags near their vehicles as car parks are conveniently located next to both start and finish lines.
Water stations will be provided at approximately 5K into the race and again at the finish line, though runners are encouraged to practice eco-friendly hydration by bringing reusable bottles. The event also features accessible restrooms positioned strategically around the park's grounds for easy access during the run.
All competitors must adhere to an age limit of 15 years or older. After crossing the finish line in Sanders Park’s expansive field near its front car park, every participant will receive a medal and chip-timed results which are typically published within two days on both the race website and Facebook page for all athletes to view.
