About the Event

Join the Bayside Historical Society for the Silver Anniversary celebration of the annual Totten Trot 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 25, 2026. This year marks the 25th edition of this beloved community event that started with just a dozen runners at Fort Totten Park and has since grown to attract over three hundred participants.
The race begins promptly at 9AM rain or shine, offering both running and walking options for all ages. Each registrant will receive a commemorative t-shirt designed by the winner of Bayside High School's Art Program contest as part of this special anniversary edition.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in addition to a Best Costume prize adding an extra layer of excitement and fun. The event features a guest appearance from the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison, a global Star Wars costuming group that will provide unique photo opportunities with beloved characters.
Come celebrate this milestone year at Fort Totten Park as part of Bayside's rich history and community spirit. Bragging rights await along with cherished memories to share for years to come.
