On Saturday, August 29, 2026, Tri-State Trails invites cyclists from all backgrounds to join the Tour de CROWN, an exhilarating bike ride through Cincinnati’s rapidly expanding trail network. Presented by Great Parks, this community event celebrates the progress and potential of the Cincinnati Riding or Walking Network (CROWN), offering riders a chance to explore newly completed trails and envision future connections. Participants can choose from three distinct routes tailored to various skill levels: - The Full CROWN (34 miles) departs at 8:00 AM, inviting cyclists on an adventure through parks, neighborhoods, and bikeways. This route provides a firsthand look at the development of the CROWN network, with several sections still under construction. - The Half CROWN (17.5 miles) sets off at 9:00 AM, taking riders along beloved trails such as the Little Miami Scenic Trail, Lunken Airport Loop, and Delta Avenue Bikeway. This route is primarily trail-based but includes some road segments where new connections are in progress. - For a more relaxed experience, the Beechmont Connector Ride (8.5 miles) starts at 9:30 AM. Ideal for beginners or families, this scenic ride follows the Little Miami Scenic Trail and culminates with a visit to the Beechmont Bridge Connector, an essential link in the CROWN network. Each route is supported by volunteer rest stops along the way, ensuring riders have access to assistance throughout their journey. Upon completion of your chosen distance, enjoy a well-deserved post-ride meal at Fifty West Brewing Company, featuring beer, soda, milkshakes, and burgers (including vegetarian options). The event also includes the Tour de CROWN Trail Expo, where you can meet trail advocates, explore new riding spots, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Proceeds from the Tour de CROWN support Tri-State Trails’ efforts to create a more connected regional trail network. Additionally, this year’s event features a special collaboration with Jim Tucker Studio for an exclusive jersey design celebrating Cincinnati’s vibrant cycling community. Limited quantities will be available at the Trail Expo on August 29 or can be pre-ordered by September 14. Join us as we pedal through history and progress in Cincinnati, making memories while contributing to the future of active transportation in our region.
