Tour de Donut

Experience the exhilarating 37th Tour de Donut, set to take place in Staunton City Park on June 16, 2026. This year’s race introduces automated timing with Fleet Feet RFID technology, ensuring a seamless and precise event for all participants.
The scenic route begins at the corner of E Pennsylvania Street and Ash Street, where sign-in starts early at 7:00 AM. Free camping is available on Friday night for all registrants in Staunton City Park, offering a perfect opportunity to rest before the big day.
Safety remains paramount with mandatory helmet use and participation in an approved seat or carrier for those under 13 years old who wish to ride without adult supervision. Online registration is required, and race-day sign-ups are not permitted, ensuring smooth operations on the starting line.
Competitors can expect a variety of age categories, including Under 16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ as well as tandem teams. Medals will be awarded to the top three in each category, with additional categories offering more medals.
For those looking to indulge, there are cash prizes for the most donuts eaten by both men and women, along with four brand-new bikes up for grabs through a lucky draw. An attendance prize is also available via random selection from all participants.
Race support will be provided by local cycling shops "The Cyclery" in Edwardsville and "The Bike SurgeOn" in O'Fallon to ensure that riders have everything they need throughout the event. Post-race, Staunton offers a variety of food options beyond their usual Main Street rib cookoff, encouraging participants to stay for festivities.
