The Tour de Ramps at Lake Monroe is set to celebrate its fourth edition, offering cyclists an exhilarating journey around the picturesque lake. Whether you prefer a leisurely ride or are up for a challenging adventure, this event has something for every level of cyclist. Riders can start their course anytime between 8:00 and 9:30 am, ensuring flexibility to fit into your schedule. The event concludes by 4 pm, giving participants ample time to enjoy the scenic route without rushing. This volunteer-driven initiative from the Bloomington Bicycle Club not only promotes cycling in Monroe County but also supports local charities, with this year's partnership going to Friends of Lake Monroe. Proceeds help maintain and enhance facilities around the lake, ensuring a vibrant environment for all cyclists. The Tour de Ramps features 10 boat ramps spread across the lake, each offering unique terrain that adds excitement to your ride. Completing visits to all 10 locations earns you a special Ramps Champ award sticker—a testament to your adventurous spirit and dedication. While t-shirts are not included in registration this year due to cost considerations, you can opt to purchase one directly at check-in. Remember to collect it there as they won't be mailed out for no-shows. Throughout the ride, participants will benefit from sag support vehicles that provide minor mechanical assistance when needed. Post-ride festivities include a satisfying meal, making your cycling experience complete and memorable. Join us this year in celebrating the beauty of Lake Monroe while contributing to its ongoing improvement through community efforts!
