Join us on an unforgettable cycling adventure through scenic Virginia, dedicated to raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, particularly focusing on Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. This year's event offers two distinct categories: Full-Pull and Fun-Ride. Participants can choose their starting point at either Manassas (Broad Run Station) or Springfield (Backlick Road Station). Those starting in Manassas will find convenient transportation to the Broad Run Station, where parking is available. The ride commences promptly from Backlick Road Station at 9:00 a.m., with return transport departing Broad Run Station at 1:30 p.m. Safety and fun are our top priorities. Escort vehicles will accompany the group within and at the rear to ensure everyone's well-being, while gear storage is available for items like jackets that can be left during the ride. Should you encounter any mechanical issues or flats, simply place your bike in one of the escort vehicles and continue on until support is needed. This event celebrates camaraderie and community spirit without the pressure of a competitive race. Prizes will be awarded through a raffle system; all participants receive a ticket with their packet at the end of the ride to enter into this draw for door prizes generously donated by our sponsors during the celebration event post-ride. Two categories cater to different preferences: Full-Pull riders start together from Backlick Road Station, while Fun-Ride participants join later as the peloton passes through Manassas Park. Both routes offer beautiful Virginia landscapes and a supportive atmosphere designed to enhance your cycling experience. Consider staying overnight in nearby hotels in Manassas or Springfield if you prefer not to wake up early for the ride. While we haven't reserved blocks of rooms, accommodations are available in both towns along the route. Wear pink socks as part of our tribute to Maria Foster and the fight against Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Together, let's make a difference through cycling, camaraderie, and awareness-raising efforts. Stay tuned for updates on RideWithGPS and Garmin Connect platforms for detailed routes when available.
