About the Event

Two days. Two surfaces. One charming village. The Tour du Lac Brome Sun Life returns to Knowlton, Quebec (Eastern Townships / Cantons‑de‑l'Est), on June 13‑14, 2026. Saturday: countryside courses on gravel or dirt roads (6 km, 12 km, half marathon). Sunday: paved road courses (5 km, 10 km, half marathon). Walkers have their own distinct categories — no running permitted in walker waves. Plus combo challenges that combine one countryside distance with one road distance over the weekend.

Saturday (June 13) — Countryside Trail
5:00 PM start • 21.1 km, 12 km, 6 km • Gravel/dirt roads through rural Lac Brome

Sunday (June 14) — Road
8:00 AM start • 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km, 1 km (kids) • Paved, closed roads through Knowlton village

The Location:

Knowlton, Quebec — the heart of Lac Brome in the Eastern Townships
Start/finish at Parc des Lions (Centre Road), near the Knowlton village center
Known for its bucolic (picturesque, rustic) charm, historic brick buildings, and the lakefront promenade
Approximately 1 hour from Montreal (Highway 10 east to exit 90, then route 243 south)
Popular destination for summer cottages, boutique shopping, and local cider/wine producers

Saturday — Countryside Courses (5:00 PM start):

Gravel and dirt roads, rolling hills, open farmland, and forest sections
Course starts from Parc des Lions and loops around the rural side of Lac Brome
21.1 km half marathon — for experienced trail/gravel runners
12 km — intermediate distance for those who want off‑road without the full half
6 km — shorter countryside loop, suitable for beginners
Awards ceremony at 7:30 PM Saturday evening

Sunday — Road Courses (8:00 AM start):

Paved, closed roads through Knowlton village and along the lake shore
21.1 km half marathon (8:00 AM start) — flat and fast, certified course
10 km run/walk (8:00 AM start) — rolling hills through village streets
5 km run/walk (8:25 AM start) — short, accessible loop
Walker categories are strictly enforced: no running. Separate awards for walkers.
Kids 1 km (11:30 AM start) — ages 12 and under. Adults may accompany children for free (no registration needed for the adult).
Awards ceremonies staggered throughout the morning (5 km at 9:00 AM, 10 km at 9:15 AM, half marathon at 10:00 AM, kids at 11:45 AM)

Weekend Combo Challenges:

Complete one Saturday countryside distance + one Sunday road distance
11 km challenge — 6 km (Sat) + 5 km (Sun)
22 km challenge — 12 km (Sat) + 10 km (Sun)
42.2 km challenge — 21.1 km (Sat) + 21.1 km (Sun) — the full marathon split over two days
Participants in combo challenges receive separate medals for each day plus a special combo finisher recognition

Logistics:

Site opens Saturday at 3:00 PM; Sunday at 7:00 AM
Bib pickup available both days on site (starting 1 hour before first race on each day)
Parking at Parc des Lions and surrounding streets (follow volunteer direction)
Bag drop available at start/finish area (no valuables)
Aid stations with water and sports drink on all courses (frequency varies by distance)
Post‑race refreshments (local snacks, water, sports drink, fruit) for all finishers
Finisher medals for all participants (kids included)
Changing rooms and portable toilets on site
No dogs allowed on any course (for safety of runners and walkers)
Strollers permitted only on Sunday 5 km and 10 km walker waves (not on run waves)
