The Trail Beaume Drobie is nestled within the rolling hills and rugged peaks of the Cévennes Ardéchoises region, where runners can immerse themselves in breathtaking landscapes ranging from 500 meters to 1500 meters above sea level. This event offers a diverse range of trail distances over two days, catering to both seasoned athletes and casual hikers. On Saturday, May 22nd, the evening kicks off with an exciting short-distance race: a 5.6-kilometer vertical kilometer (KV) starting at 17:00 PM, designed for those seeking a challenging yet manageable course under the moonlit sky. The main event unfolds on Sunday, May 23rd, when five distinct trails are set to challenge runners with varying levels of difficulty and terrain. Early risers will be rewarded with the longest distance available – the Violet Trail at an impressive 51 kilometers, starting as early as 03:30 AM for those who can handle a grueling day in the mountains. The Black Trail follows closely behind at 51 kilometers, beginning at dawn (06:30 AM), offering runners another opportunity to tackle this demanding route. For runners looking for something less strenuous but still thrilling, there are two trails that offer more moderate distances and elevations. The Red Trail spans a distance of 32 kilometers with an early morning start time of 08:00 AM, providing ample daylight hours to appreciate the scenic beauty while pushing physical limits. The Blue Trail, at 20 kilometers, begins slightly later in the day (08:30 AM), making it accessible for those who prefer a more leisurely pace but still wish to experience the challenging terrain. The Green Trail offers an even shorter distance of just 11 kilometers and starts around mid-morning (09:00 AM). Both the Blue and Green Trails are also open to hikers, allowing non-competitive participants to enjoy the stunning scenery at their own pace. The event’s central hub is located in Valgorge's Village Hall, known as La Pourette. Here, runners will gather for pre-race briefings and meet fellow trail enthusiasts before heading out into nature. The Trail Beaume Drobie promises an unforgettable adventure through some of France’s most captivating landscapes. Whether you're a seasoned ultrarunner or just looking to explore the outdoors on foot, this event offers something unique with its diverse range of trails catering to all levels of fitness and experience.
