Scheduled for June in the charming blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled at 600 meters above sea level in northern Morocco, this event offers both a two-day and three-day option. The multi-stage journey through Talassemtane National Park spans over lush forests, dramatic canyons, Berber villages, waterfalls, and caves. With its diverse ecosystem home to over 100 bird species and 700 plant varieties, including many endemic plants, the park is a UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage site.
The three-day route totals an impressive 83 kilometers with nearly 5,027 meters of elevation gain, while the two-day option covers 45 kilometers and 1,892 meters. Both routes feature flexible cut-off times that accommodate both trail runners and walkers, ensuring everyone can enjoy the experience at their own pace.
The first stage takes participants from Chefchaouen to Akchour Hotel over a distance of 38 kilometers with an elevation gain of 3,135 meters. The second day sees you traverse Talassemtane National Park for 26 kilometers and climb another 1,390 meters before setting up camp under the stars in a bivouac area managed by the organizing team. On the final leg, runners cover 19 kilometers with just over 500 meters of elevation gain to return to Chefchaouen.
Throughout your journey, you'll be treated to sumptuous Moroccan cuisine and nightly festivities that include award ceremonies, shows, speeches, and retrospectives that capture the highlights of each day. The event is fully supported by a dedicated team of organizers who manage logistics from airport pickup through accommodation and meals during the race days.
