Experience the enchanting Trail of Chapelles, set amidst the picturesque landscapes of Brittany. The race weekend kicks off on Saturday night with an 11-kilometer trail run through the mystical Bay of St Efflam. Start your journey from this scenic bay and follow a path that winds around the grand rock before leading you to the serene Chapel of Sainte Catherine and the tranquil valley of Yar.
As dawn breaks, participants will embark on two longer trails on Sunday—both starting from the same breathtaking location but offering distinct challenges. The 25-kilometer trail offers panoramic views as it takes runners through rolling hills and rugged terrain. After circumventing Plestin via country roads, you'll descend into the Douron Valley before reaching Toul An Hery. Your return journey will be a highlight, following the Douaniers' path with stunning vistas over the Bay of Locquirec.
For those seeking a slightly shorter but equally scenic route, there's also an 17-kilometer trail available on Sunday morning. This course follows similar paths through the countryside, offering picturesque views and gentle inclines before concluding your run along the Douaniers' path with its magnificent bay views.
Lastly, a 10-kilometer option is perfect for runners looking to enjoy the natural beauty without the full marathon experience. Starting from St Efflam Bay, this trail weaves through rolling hills towards Toul An Hery, offering breathtaking coastal vistas and returning via the Douaniers' path with its spectacular bay views.
