Discover the rugged beauty of the Ariège region at the Trail des Côteaux de Pamiers, a classic trail running and walking festival set in the scenic hills surrounding Pamiers on Sunday, 22nd February 2026. Starting and finishing at the Balussou sports complex, this authentic event offers three distinct ways to experience the landscape: tackle the challenging "Grandas" (29km with 840m of ascent), enjoy the shorter "Pitchoun" trail run (11km), or join the "Camino" walking route on the same 11km course. Organized by the passionate AC Pamiers club, it combines a true test on natural, sometimes steep trails with a warm, community atmosphere, complete with post-race facilities and a meal. About Pamiers

Pamiers is a commune and largest city in the Ariège department in the Occitanie region in southwestern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department. It is the most populous commune in the Ariège department, although it is not the capital which is the smaller town of Foix. The seat of the Bishop of Pamiers is at the Pamiers Cathedral. The current mayor of the town is Frédérique Thiennot, who succeeded André Trigano in 2020 after he had held the post for 25 years.
