Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of Abjat-sur-Bandiat, nestled within the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park, on September 6th for the third edition of the Trail du Bandiat. This event offers a range of challenges suitable for runners of all levels.
The day kicks off with the "Grand trail du Bandiat," an exhilarating 31-kilometer route that features a challenging ascent of 530 meters, providing ample opportunity to explore the lush forests and rolling hills of this verdant region. For those seeking a more moderate challenge, the "Trail du Bandiat" offers a picturesque 15-kilometer course with an elevation gain of 240 meters, allowing participants to enjoy stunning views while maintaining a manageable pace.
Families and casual runners can opt for the shorter options: the "Petit tour d'Abjat," which covers 8 kilometers with an ascent of 130 meters, or the leisurely "Boucle des Marroniers" at just 4 kilometers long but still offering a climb of 90 meters. Each route takes runners through the captivating landscapes and dense woodlands that define this part of Périgord Vert.
After pushing your limits on these scenic trails, take time to unwind in Abjat-en-Fête's festive atmosphere. Enjoy refreshments from the well-stocked refreshment tent and savor a post-race meal provided by local organizers, creating lasting memories with fellow runners.
Packet pickup is available at two convenient times: Saturday, September 5th from 4 PM to 6 PM or on race day starting at 8 AM until 15 minutes before each event begins. Online registration closes promptly at midnight the night before the event for those who prefer to sign up ahead of time.
