The Fit Trail Run/Walk Series For All 2026 offers a unique opportunity for trail enthusiasts of all levels to explore the scenic landscapes across southern and eastern Jutland. This series, comprised of nine events spread throughout various forested areas, invites runners and walkers alike with no focus on speed but rather on enjoyment and camaraderie. The eighth event in this year's series takes place at Gyttegård Plantation near Hejnsvig, offering a mix of small trails and paths through the lush woods. Participants can look forward to an energizing depot station upon reaching the finish line, complete with snacks like cola, chips, water, and fresh fruit. Registration for this event is available until October 2nd, 2026, and includes various distance options such as a marathon (42.2 km), half-marathon (21.095 km), shorter trail runs ranging from 15 to 3 kilometers, and the unique canicross events for those who wish to run with their dogs. Each race starts at designated times throughout the morning, providing runners with an array of distance choices that cater to all fitness levels. The entry fee is 165 DKK per person or dog team (plus a 15 DKK handling charge), which includes not only participation but also a medal upon completion. Participants should plan to arrive early and register by 8:00 AM on the day of the event, with check-in closing twenty minutes before each race start. A brief briefing will be held ten minutes prior to every race departure to ensure everyone is well-prepared for their run or walk through nature. The series emphasizes self-responsibility in terms of hydration and nutrition; participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups as plastic waste isn’t provided at the depot stations. Timing is self-managed, with runners required to record their times using a wristwatch before submitting them upon crossing the finish line for official recognition.
