About the Event

Join the Office National des Combattants et Victimes de Guerre (ONACVG) for an exceptional blend of sportsmanship, human connection, and civic engagement at the Memorial Trail and Solidarity Event around the national necropolis of Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure in the Charente region. This event brings together civilians and military personnel to demonstrate solidarity with wounded veterans through physical effort and personal growth.
The morning kicks off with a sporting challenge where participants can choose between individual or team formats on a 5-kilometer loop trail, offering distances of 5 km (one lap), 10 km (two laps) for runners, and an additional option of 15 km (three laps). For those preferring to walk, there's also a non-timed walking route available.
In the afternoon, visitors are invited to explore the national necropolis with guided tours and cultural exhibits that delve into historical memory and remembrance. Throughout the day, a stand from Bleuet de France will be present, providing an opportunity for attendees to contribute to supporting veterans and their families directly.
This event offers more than just athletic competition; it fosters community spirit and respect for those who have served our nation. Every step taken is not only a personal achievement but also a meaningful gesture of solidarity with wounded military personnel.
