On September 27, 2026, the Bridge Against Cancer Foundation will host its fifth annual "Terres de Sommières" Trail Run. This charity-focused day of sport aims to raise funds for the French League against Cancer through a series of engaging courses and scenic routes. Participants can choose from two timed races: an 8Km run starting at 9:45 AM, or a more challenging 13Km course that begins just ten minutes later. Additionally, there's a leisurely 8Km walk scheduled to start at 10:10 AM for those who prefer a less intense but equally rewarding experience. The event kicks off from the versatile sports hall in Sommières and features routes through some of the region’s most picturesque landscapes. The trail includes sections with single-track paths that are both fun and technical, winding through Junas quarries where runners can showcase their skills on varied terrain. The route also passes by the serene Corbières stream surrounded by lush meadows, pine forests, and verdant oak trees. To ensure participants stay energized throughout the event, there will be a generous refreshment station at the finish line, offering much-needed sustenance after the journey through nature’s beauty.
