Trailblazer 2026 9th Mount Siguniang Mountaineering Festival (拓路者2026第九届四姑娘山登山大会)

Returning for its 9th year, this mountaineering festival runs October 29 - November 1 in the Haizigou scenic area, Mount Siguniang, Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, with categories Dafeng Speed Ascent 30K, Dafeng Traditional Ascent 30K, and Erfeng Ascent 34K -- a common choice for a first snow-mountain summit. Registration opens August 5 at 10:00.
Check-in is strict: Speed Ascent entrants must check in October 29 10:00-20:00; Traditional Ascent entrants must check in October 30 10:00-14:30, both at the Mount Siguniang activity management center.
The Dafeng Speed Ascent (29.2km actual, 1,896m gain, elevation 3,250m-5,025m, ITRA 2 points) starts Oct 31 5:00 with a summit cutoff of 11:00 and a finish cutoff of 15:00 (10h) -- a speed-climbing take on a traditional ascent, mostly scree trail from base camp to the Dafeng summit with guardrails on exposed sections, and close views of Yaomei Peak's south face and the surrounding sea of clouds; only the ascent is timed. The Dafeng Traditional Ascent (same distance/elevation) is a two-day event with a base-camp overnight and a pre-dawn summit push on day two. The Erfeng Ascent (34km, 2,056m gain, elevation 3,250m-5,276m) follows a similar two-day structure with an overnight at Erfeng base camp.
