The Forsyth Tech Trailblazer Trek embarks on Sunday, April 11, 2027, as an exhilarating charity bike ride supporting the athletic programs at Forsyth Technical Community College. The inaugural season of these programs began just a year ago in the fall of 2025-2026 with the introduction of Esports, Women's Court Volleyball, and Men’s Basketball. Riders will set off from and return to the picturesque Forsyth Technical Community College Northwest Campus in King, North Carolina. The event spans three distinct routes—each offering a unique experience tailored for different skill levels and preferences: - For those seeking a more relaxed pace with scenic views, the Trailblazer Fun Loop offers an 8-mile route that mostly follows flat roads with minimal elevation changes.
- Those looking to embrace a greater challenge can opt for the approximately 36-mile Trailblazer Tour. This journey takes you through gentle rolling landscapes of Forsyth County, providing both beauty and a moderate level of difficulty. - For serious endurance athletes or those aiming for an ambitious goal, the 60-mile Trailblazer Challenge awaits. This route weaves through the challenging yet rewarding terrain of Forsyth and Stokes Counties, culminating at Hanging Rock State Park, where riders can choose to tackle its iconic climb or save energy by bypassing it. Aid stations will be strategically placed along both the 36- and 60-mile routes, ensuring that participants have access to water, snacks, and energy drinks. Maps and GPS files are provided for navigation assistance. The event kicks off at 8:00 a.m., with all bikers departing together. By noon, riders should complete their courses; however, the atmosphere remains festive until lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. onwards. Included in your entry fee are several perks: - Mechanical/SAG support to ensure safety and assistance. - Rest-stop areas stocked with snacks for energy replenishment. - A commemorative T-shirt if you register online by April 7th. - A complimentary lunch ticket. - For those celebrating their birthday or simply wanting a special treat, beer tickets are available at Fiddlin' Fish Brewery’s expense. Additionally, free massages will be provided courtesy of Forsyth Tech Massage Therapy students, adding to the overall wellness experience. The weather does not deter this event; it is scheduled rain or shine. Ages 14 and under must have a registered adult accompany them throughout the course for safety reasons. There are no refunds due to the nature of fundraising activities involved in this event. Join us for what promises to be an unforgettable ride through beautiful North Carolina landscapes, supporting local athletic programs while enjoying camaraderie among fellow cyclists.
