Trails and Ales New Years Eve Fell Race

Ring in the New Year with an invigorating 7-mile fell race that promises breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The event kicks off at 10:45 AM with a spirited send-off by a live bagpiper, setting the tone for this exhilarating run.
After crossing the finish line, participants are invited to unwind and celebrate their achievement in style at The Crown Pub (Horwich) from noon until 3 PM. Enjoy a private party complete with live music provided by a band playing throughout the celebration.
The race is open exclusively to runners aged 18 years or older. Finishers will receive a pint of your choice along with a hearty pie, catering for both non-alcoholic options and vegetarian preferences.
Awards are given out to the top six male and female finishers as well as the first three in each age category (V40, V50, V60, V70). Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the winning men's and women’s teams with a maximum of one prize per person. Winners must be present at the award ceremony to claim their rewards.
Participants are advised to follow Fell Runners Association guidelines for kit requirements: bring waterproof clothing including tops and bottoms along with hats and gloves to ensure you stay warm and dry throughout your run.
The race has a strict cut-off time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, ensuring that all runners complete the course within an optimal timeframe. This event is designed not only as a competitive challenge but also as a social gathering for like-minded individuals who share a passion for fell running.
