Trek Des Gazelles by Mélanie invites women to explore some of Morocco's most breathtaking landscapes through its unique and inspiring treks. Celebrating 12 years since its inception, the program for 2026 features three distinct editions designed to cater to different preferences and interests. The Desert Edition takes place from November 30th to December 5th, starting in Zagora, often referred to as the Gateway to the Sahara. This four-day trek covers approximately 70 kilometers over the course of 3.5 days, with daily averages around 20 kilometers. The journey is not competitive but rather focused on immersing participants in the timeless beauty and culture of the desert. Each day includes a chic yet authentic bivouac experience that highlights local traditions and hospitality. Participants will traverse an historic route once used by Saharan caravans, walking through expansive dunes where the spirit of the Tuareg people comes alive. The trek offers breathtaking views and an unparalleled sense of adventure as one moves across shifting sands under a vast sky. Two additional editions are scheduled for 2026: - Exclusive Edition: From May 18th to 23rd, this edition takes place in the Parc National d'Ifrane. Here, participants will explore Morocco's expansive cedar forests and enjoy an intimate setting with only 50 women. - Sea Edition: Running from October 19th to 24th, this event offers a refined experience along the shimmering shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Participants can bask in the marine breeze and endless horizons while enjoying exclusive access for up to 100 women. The concept behind Trek Des Gazelles by Mélanie is deeply rooted in founder Mélanie's personal journey and her commitment to fighting pediatric cancer. In 2014, she envisioned an event that would bring together women through sport to support a significant cause while enhancing the well-being of children affected by cancer. Since then, 10% of registration fees have been allocated towards initiatives throughout the year in partnership with local life houses, oncology professors, and the Franco-African Group for Pediatric Oncology. The event is committed to sustainability practices that reduce environmental impact and supports women's autonomy within a localized economy. Each trek promises an enriching experience where participants can connect deeply with Morocco’s diverse landscapes while contributing positively to important social causes. This unique adventure offers more than just physical challenges; it provides a platform for personal growth, cultural immersion, and community building among like-minded individuals in stunning Moroccan settings.
