Trek Freemondo

Explore the scenic countryside of Peoria on August 16th for the thrilling 4th annual Trek Freemondo! This free cycling event offers both short and long route options, perfect for any skill level. The journey begins at Hickory Grove Grade School, located at 2514 W Hickory Grove Rd., Dunlap, IL 61525.
For those seeking a longer adventure, the Long Route will lead you through picturesque landscapes, passing by Casey's Princeville at mile-23 and the Clydesdale Bike Club’s "Stable" rest stop for food and refreshments at miles-27 and -49. The 62-mile Metric Century route is also available, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience.
On the shorter side, the Short Route provides an enjoyable ride with its own designated rest point at Clydesdale Bike Club’s "Stable" located at mile-27 on your journey back to Hickory Grove Grade School. Both routes offer cyclists a chance to enjoy Peoria's natural beauty and vibrant community spirit.
The event is self-supported, meaning participants must carry their own water and supplies. A single port-a-john will be available for use in the school parking lot at the start line. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, Trek Freemondo promises an unforgettable experience that celebrates the joy of cycling through some of Peoria's most beautiful routes.
