TREK Sturbridge Halloween 5K & 1K

The Rotary Club of Sturbridge invites runners and families to join the "TREK Sturbridge Halloween 5K & 1K" on Sunday, October 25, 2026. This festive race offers a variety of activities suitable for all ages.
Participants can start their day with an energizing timed 5K Trail Race at 10:00 AM, winding through scenic trails and offering runners the chance to experience Sturbridge’s natural beauty up close while enjoying the excitement of Halloween-themed costumes. The entry fee is $35 per person. For those who prefer a leisurely walk, there's also a Fun Walk on the same trail at 10:00 AM for just $30.
Younger participants and individuals with mobility challenges are invited to take part in the timed 1K Road Race starting at 9:15 AM. This shorter race is designed specifically for pre-teens (ages 12 years and under) and those who may require a more accessible route, providing an inclusive environment where everyone can participate.
The event kicks off early with activities aimed at younger children beginning at 9:00 AM in the LUNCH ROOM. These include a costume parade and relay races as well as organized games that promise to be both fun and engaging for all involved.
Adding to the excitement of race day, there will be a BEST COSTUME competition just before the Awards Ceremony, open to all registered racers and walkers. Participants are encouraged to embrace their creativity by dressing up in Halloween costumes.
Proceeds from this event go directly toward supporting local student scholarships and other community needs projects through the Sturbridge Rotary Club’s fundraising efforts. Join us for a day filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit on October 25, 2026.
