Tri Angus Forfar Novice & Sprint Triathlon Sunday, 26 July 2026 Welcome to the sixth edition of the Forfar Triathlon, organized by Tri Angus Limited. This year, we are excited to present two races tailored for triathletes at different levels: a novice race designed for newcomers and a sprint race aimed at those with more experience or who seek an extra challenge. The event will be held at the picturesque Forfar Community Campus in Scotland, offering participants a well-rounded athletic adventure. The swim portion takes place within the campus’s state-of-the-art 6-lane swimming pool, providing a safe and controlled environment for all competitors. Next up is the bike ride through the heart of Forfar before venturing into the surrounding countryside. Cyclists will enjoy scenic routes that showcase local landscapes. Finally, runners can look forward to a picturesque run along the banks of Forfar Loch, offering stunning views as they complete their journey. Here are the distances for each race: Novice Race: - Swim (pool): 400 meters - Bike: 11 kilometers - Run: 5 kilometers Sprint Race: - Swim (pool): 750 meters - Bike: 21 kilometers - Run: 5 kilometers With a total of 240 spots available, participants must secure their entry on a first-come-first-served basis. The deadline for registration is Thursday, July 16th, 2026. Entry fees are set at £44 per person; however, non-members from home nation governing bodies like Triathlon Scotland will need to purchase a race pass for public liability insurance coverage on the day of the event. Additional details about obtaining this pass can be found on the British Triathlon website. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in both open and female categories: - 1st Open category/Female - 2nd Open category/Female - 3rd Open category/Female Both races adhere strictly to British Triathlon rules, which are detailed on the Triathlon Scotland website. All race routes have been accurately measured using MapOMeter. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, route markings will be clearly visible throughout each section of the event. Event marshals stationed at strategic points along the course will provide guidance as needed. It is highly recommended that competitors familiarize themselves with the detailed maps available on the Tri Angus website before race day. Additional information about registration times, rules, parking facilities, medical support, refreshments, results, and more can be accessed via the event page: www.triangus.co.uk/event/forfar-triathlon/. This year’s Forfar Triathlon is proud to have Tayside Mountain Rescue as its official charity partner. Participants are encouraged but not required to contribute through fundraising or by making a donation on their entry form. All proceeds raised will go directly towards supporting the vital work of TMR. For more details about this cause and how you can help, visit: [Click here](#).
