About the Event

Experience the breathtaking Biosphere to Oro Valley Half Marathon on Sunday, December 13, 2026. This iconic race follows net downhill courses through the stunning Santa Catalina Mountains and picturesque towns of Catalina before descending into Oro Valley.
The half marathon route commences at Golder Ranch Fire Administration Building in Catalina, weaving its way down to Oro Valley along scenic paths. Runners will enjoy a scenic journey alongside The Loop Bike Path, which hugs the banks of the Canada del Oro River, leading them to the finish line at Pima Community College Northwest Campus.
This race offers runners an unforgettable experience with its fast and beautiful downhill courses in winter weather conditions. Both full marathoners and half marathon participants have the opportunity to qualify for Boston through this event's certification by USA Track & Field (USATF).
For those seeking a longer challenge, the Marathon Relay involves four runners each tackling their own segment of the marathon course.
Packet pickup is conveniently available on Friday, December 11 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Aravaipa Running located at 2401 S. 24th Street in Phoenix or Saturday, December 12 from 11:00am to 6:00pm at Pima Community College Northwest Campus on Shannon Rd.
